Cinderella style carriage used to ferry Miss Ireland contestants up for auction
sees what’s on offer at an auction in Sixmilebridge.
IF YOU would like your seasonal cheer delivered in a white carriage then Aidan Foley’s auction at Sixmilebridge, Co Clare, on Monday and Tuesday is a must-attend.
The sale will include part two of the Murray family collection from Limerick complete with the stagecoach used in pantomimes and to ferry Miss Ireland contestants and a selection of vintage whiskey and champagne from this pub- and hotel-owning family.
These will be included among 1,200 lots on Tuesday.
On Monday there will be a selection of books and boxed records, including old Rolling Stones albums from the 1960s and some 78s on the HMV Label.

The interiors, vintage and book auction includes a pair of bow-fronted Hicks-style cabinets and an eight-foot-long console table. In addition, it features ten Limerick-made Chippendale-style dining chairs individually stamped.
It is on view from today at The Auction Rooms in Sixmilebridge.
