Gardening notes: Your guide to what's on

As part of National Heritage Week, Doneraile Development Association will on Sunday (August 25) run a guided tour from 2.30pm-4.30pm through the historic garden spaces of Doneraile Park, Co Cork

Saturday, August 24 sees Oranmore Castle host a Heritage Fair, from 11-5pm, with stalls, garden produce and fun workshops for kids. Admission is free. Or if you find yourself in the Ancient East, join an expert from the Royal Horticultural Society team to learn about the history and restoration of the 18th-century walled garden in Russborough House, Co Wicklow, from 2.30pm-3.30pm. Free entry
