A fine West of Ireland landscape by Paul Henry is the most expensively estimated lot at Whyte’s sale of Important Irish Art at the RDS next Monday at 6pm.

There are further works from the McClelland Collection with no fewer than 13 works by Tony O’Malley ranging in estimate from €1,000 to €20,000; some examples by William Conor ranging from €2,000 to €3,000 and four works by Colin Middleton at €2,000 to €5,000 each.

The catalogue lists 197 lots and features a broad cross-section of Irish art, from Frank McKelvey, and Mary Swanzy to Dan O’Neill and William Crozier.
