Paul Henry landscape expected to fetch up to €120,000
There are further works from the McClelland Collection with no fewer than 13 works by Tony O’Malley ranging in estimate from €1,000 to €20,000; some examples by William Conor ranging from €2,000 to €3,000 and four works by Colin Middleton at €2,000 to €5,000 each.
The catalogue lists 197 lots and features a broad cross-section of Irish art, from Frank McKelvey, and Mary Swanzy to Dan O’Neill and William Crozier.
There is more contemporary work by Hughie O’Donoghue, Brian Maguire, Felim Egan and Patrick Graham.
There is also a good selection of sculpture from artists like John Behan, Hilary Heron, Conor Fallon, Gary Trimble and Jerome Connor.
The Henry, which last sold at Whyte’s in 2011 for over €100,000, is now estimated at €90,000 to €120,000.
