Our gardening noticeboard

Maurice and Kit Cogan are holding an open day at their garden in aid of St Senan’s Church renovation fund on August 10.

The garden at Killeen, Vicarstown (4 miles from Blarney), will be signposted from Blarney and also from Cloghroe Church.

Historian and author Julian Walton will host a talk on ‘Castles of west Waterford’ at Tourin House and Gardens as part of The Waterford Garden Trail. The talk also includes Lismore Castle and Gardens and Dromana House and Gardens. The summer series of events will comes to a close on August 24 when Tourin House and Gardens and Dromana House and Gardens throw open their gates for a Charity Open Day on the Sunday. The Waterford Garden Trail has hosted over 14 events at one of the 15 Garden Trail attractions and locations remain open to visitors.
