¦ Cork Flower Club have Jody Smyth of Ballyseedy Garden Centre to speak on spring gardening on Tuesday in Canon Packham Hall, Douglas at 8pm. Everyone welcome — special plants for sale.

¦ Conna and District Flower and Garden Club will meet next Wednesday night, March 19 in Conna Hall at 8 pm with guest speaker Carmel of Carmel’s Garden Centre. Plants and flowers will be on sale.

¦ Coachford Flower and Garden Club are hosting DJ Murphy who will speak on gardening on Wednesday, March 19 at 8pm in Breathnach’s lounge, Coachford. New members welcome

¦ The Irish Seed Savers Association is introducing its first big workshop weekend in Co Clare on March 22 and 23. Courses will include willow-weaving, basket-making, organic gardening, crafting, creating an orchard, bushcraft, wild food foraging, getting started with bees, and bee-keeping in the spring. ¦ Ardfield Rathbarry Gardening Club is hosting Hester Forde on Tuesday, March 18 in the Parish Hall at 8pm. The topic is Creative Gardening with Containers. Annual membership is due. All Welcome.

¦ The Owenabue Garden and Flower club, Carrigaline, will hold its annual spring show in St Mary’s Church of Ireland, School hall (entrance beside main gates to Community School), on Monday at 8pm. The demonstrator is Margot Allen and her theme is Arabian travels. Visitors are welcome. All enquiries to 086-3222615.

¦ Glenville Flower & Garden Club will hold its Easter demonstration by Sandra Jackson, AOIFA, in Kades Kounty at 8.30pm, on Tuesday, March 25. Everyone welcome. They are also having a Mass for deceased members of the club at St Joseph’s Church, Glenville on Friday, April 4, at 7.30pm.

¦ The next meeting of Castlelyons Home and Garden Club will take place on Thursday, March 20 at 8.00 pm in Castlelyons Community Centre. Eibhlin Walsh Boland will give a talk entitled "Spring into Easter with Floral Artistry".
