¦ Want to learn how to grow healthy fast food? Come along to the next GIY (Grow it Yourself), Clonakilty meeting on Monday March 10 at 8pm in O’Donovan’s Hotel. ¦ Ballincollig Flower and Garden Club’s meeting will take place Monday, March 10 at Oriel House Hotel, Ballincollig at 8pm. The topic is “Wedding Flowers“, and early birds will have an opportunity to see a free flower-arrangers class starting at 7.30. The theme “Patterns” with flower displays, horticulture displays, flower arranger’s sales table, and wedding flower arrangements to be raffled on the night. Plenty of ideas by Rose Hickey AOIFE who will demonstrate on wedding flowers. All welcome.

¦ Clonakilty Flower Club will host its March club night on Monday March 10 in Fernhill House at 8.00pm. A demonstration will be given by Sandra Jackson AOIFA. There will be the usual club competitions with a spring theme, a raffle and light refreshments will be served. All are welcome.

¦ Kanturk Flower and Garden Club will meet on Wednesday March 12 in The Temperance Hall at 8.00pm with guest Floral Demonstrator, Siobhan McInerney demonstrating Weddings Flowers and Wedding Bouquets. Everyone Welcome, €5.00, refreshments served.

¦ The Ballinora / Waterfall Garden and Lifestyle Club will host Rita Moore demonstrating spring flower arrangements on March 24 at 8.00pm in the Scout Hall, Ballinora.

¦ Innishannon Flower and Garden Club will host Anne Hamilton, landscape gardener/ garden designer of Fox Gardens, Enniskeane. All are welcome on March 12 at 8pm in Barrett’s lounge.

¦ Bandon Flower Club presents a talk on vegetable growing by Val Walsh of ‘Radical Roots’ in The Munster Arms Hotel, Bandon on Monday March 10. A Daffodil sale will be held in aid of The Irish Cancer Society. Visitors Welcome.
