IT’S not easy to get an A-level BER certificate, and often getting to this enviable level means a house’s design can be very straitened, dictated to almost by technology.

Not so at west Cork’s Drinagh, where a house designed and built in the last three years looks right at home in its country setting — with its A certificate.
