Spectacular views of five counties a bonus with The Three Gables

THE view, the view, the view. Cork city’s down in a saucer-like setting, but you have to go up its surrounding hills to really appreciate it. The owners of The Three Gables know it better than most.

The big triple-gabled home is up on the broad curve of the Airport Hill where it wraps around towards the west and the setting sun. Thanks to the elevation, there are views of five Munster counties, reckons estate agent Denis Barrett, who knows the fields well having grown up in the parish. Presumably Clare is the Munster county just over his horizon.

Location is Lehenaghmore, above the western suburbs of Togher, Wilton and Bishopstown, five minutes from the airport and an ever quicker drive to the south ring road.
