Two into one will go to replace Ardfield bungalow

BUY one, buy two, or build — they’re the options to replace a tired, brick-built bungalow near the sea in west Cork’s Ardfield, a 10 minute drive from Clonakilty and near safe beaches.

Full planning has been secured to knock the decades’ old bungalow on a half acre site and put in its stead two side-by-side 1,300 sq ft dormer homes, on c 0.2 acre sites.

Auctioneer John Hodnett — who last month auctioned a local farmhouse and 15 acres, in lots for €385,000 with the do-er upper old house on it making €140k — expects the sites here to make €160,000/170,000 each.
