Metamorphosis turned out to be a great makeover

BUTTERFLY Cottage, a romantic hideaway in Tallow, Co Waterford, has been through a metamorphosis. Two old thatched cottages have been joined into one long, thick-walled home.

Up for sale with a €210,000 price guide, the pretty house has been home for a number of years to an English woman who lavished love and care on it and its quarter acre of gardens. She is now selling up to return to family in England.

It is 35’ or 40’ long, and is snuggled in low and sheltered under its thick thatched roof, surrounded by gardens all around. It overlooks a woodland area.
