The Lawn takes seed in Castletownshend

TICKING away nicely, sales are almost at the one-third mark for the first new development in the picturesque village of Castletownshend in Co Cork.

Home to cousins Somerville and Ross, writers of the Irish RM books, this lovely little village had put up a strong resistance to new development.

Recently, however, and on the second go, Fleming Construction passed through the planning process with a low density scheme on a seven acre site at the top of the village called The Lawn.
