Public spending inquiry bill: Too many holes

The debate on Fianna Fail’s bill to give the Comptroller and Auditor General powers to investigate the financial management of infrastructure projects is timely given the monumental failings evident in the National Children’s Hospital.

But the bill allows a responsible minister more escape routes than a meerkat warren.
