Peace process – Sinn Féin must sever links to past

MOVES to give the North’s moribund government the kiss of life could see its stranded democracy restored by the autumn.

The key players are learning a new road map, though little enough will happen until the forthcoming local and European elections are out of the way.

Only then, according to Taoiseach Bertie Ahern and British Prime Minister Tony Blair, will intensive dialogue begin with the aim of creating conditions for restoring devolved government on a stable and durable basis.
