The rescue centre in India which was established with the help of the €40,000 fine paid by celebrity chef Tim Allen for possessing child pornography images is a small but positive step towards saving young children from a life of prostitution and pornography by seeking to intercept vulnerable children before they reach the brothels of Bombay or Calcutta.

In the midst of all the publicity surrounding the prosecution of high-profile individuals, the abused children have generally been forgotten.
