The party’s support has dropped to 32%, which is down some 10% on the last general election, and half of that drop occurred during the past six months. The main beneficiaries have been Fine Gael and its party leader, Enda Kenny, whose backing as a possible Taoiseach has jumped by 12%.
Support for all the other parties has remained largely the same, up or down by a mere 1%, which is well within the margin of error.
