Deportation claims - Treatment of refugees is appalling

SERIOUS questions arise amid allegations that a woman was sedated before being deported from Ireland to Nigeria last week.

If the claim is true it is an appalling reflection on this country’s treatment of refugees.

Significantly, gardaí have confirmed that a women received medical attention and was put on a drip during the flight. She was among 35 refugees, including pupils apprehended during school hours, who were summarily deported.
