Nursing home charges - Issue failing to go away for Martin

IN parliamentary parlance, the term for accusing a politician of lying is to say they were ‘economical’ with the truth.

Not so in the festering row between Labour leader Pat Rabbitte and former Health Minister Micheál Martin over illegal nursing home charges.

The extraordinary and unprecedented accusation by Mr Rabbitte in today’s political interview is that Enterprise Minister Martin “lied” in the multi-million euro nursing homes fiasco.
