Kick bigotry out of sport

BIGOTRY and sectarianism are not new to the divided communities of the North.

But society has reached a new low when the warped philosophy of evil minds translates into death threats in the sporting arena.

The decision of Glasgow Celtic player Neil Lennon never to play for his national soccer team again represents a victory for raw sectarianism. Hoax or not, religious bigotry is endemic in virtually every facet of Northern life.
