Tabloid journalism - Intrusion into Carey’s life shameful

By and large, the Irish media has, with few exceptions, steered clear of prying into the lives of celebrities. So, by any assessment, the intrusion into the private life of Kilkenny hurling star DJ Carey was unwarranted.

If people put themselves on a moral pedestal and then proceed to betray those principles, such hypocrisy deserves to be fully exposed. But DJ Carey is a hurler and does not fall into that category by any stretch of the imagination.
