U2 world tour - Take pride as band hits global stage

THE U2 world tour, which began in San Diego in March, is playing in Croke Park to sell-out crowds this weekend. The phenomenal success of the tour and the band of four Dubs represents the spirit of the Celtic Tiger.

He has used his fame with U2 to promote the Jubilee 2000 Project to bring pressure on the world’s richest countries to cancel the debts of over 50 of the world’s poorest.

He has also championed the cause of DATA (Debt, Aids, Trade, Africa), established in 2002 to promote awareness of the plight of the poorest countries in Africa, which have been blighted by crushing foreign debts, AIDS, and unfair international trade.
