British king's act of ruthlessness in stripping Andrew of his titles and home a bid to save monarchy

Charles always knew he would play a caretaker role for the monarchy and therefore one of his most important tasks would be to bequeath the institution to his son William in reasonable repair

The damage Andrew’s association with Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell continued to inflict on the reputation of the royal family was simply too much for the king not to act as he did on Thursday evening.
