This week’s report on social and affordable housing delivery from the Department of Housing was depressing but not surprising.

It confirmed that once again the Government had missed its social and affordable housing targets. In 2024, it promised to deliver 9,300 new build social homes, 2,400 cost rental homes and 2,000 affordable purchase homes.
