While RTÉ has been a financial black hole for most of the past decade, its spectacular fall from grace over the last six months has still been truly head-spinning.
Having secured its immediate future via a Government bailout and the publication of a new strategy last November, embattled director general Kevin Bakhurst must now find a way to carry out that plan amid an atmosphere of an ever-more sceptical public and a distinctly hostile political landscape.
