Joan Burton warns voters not to take a gamble at ballot box

Tánaiste Joan Burton has warned that the country could be left in a “state of paralysis” where civil servants would take power for months if a government cannot be formed.

She has also asked voters to “think twice” before casting their ballots to ensure a stable government is elected.

Ms Burton urged the public to “look at countries like Greece, Spain, and Portugal, where the process of government-making has been stalled for months.
