Donors and surgeons key to raising capacity

The Department of Health is in the middle of a consultation process which will lead to the production of a new Human Tissue Bill.

The new law will legislate for the giving of consent for the removal, retention, storage, use and disposal of organs and tissue from dead people. Central to the process is the question of organ donation and transplantation.
