Changes to the Junior Cert are needed, but no attempt has been made to ease fears, says Pat King

REFORM in education does not lend itself to simple solutions. The issues involved are complex and sensitive in nature and any changes will have to have the confidence of the public and be based on a broad degree of consensus.
