Ireland has little in common with America — and that’s a good thing.
What is happening in Minneapolis right now is shocking, truly awful, but it is also not new. It has been happening to minority communities in America for centuries. Today, it threatens leftist protestors, or "domestic terrorists". Tomorrow, it could be anyone. It could even be Maga supporters if they were to step out of line.
