When Garth Brooks strode out in Croke Park in September 2022, he bore the bold presence of a fitter younger man; so much so that three years later his dramatic transformation has stayed with me.
Turns out he had lost over 22kg in weight – just over three stone in old currency. Ahead of five nights of sell-out shows, he said he weighed the same as he did when he performed here in 1997, back when he was 35 years old.
