Somedays, when I get down with the world, I think about the time I felt most proud about my Irishness. 

Given that there’s been so many reasons lately to question whether being Irish is a good thing, I like to remind myself that there was a time in the recent past when the world was buying Irish stock as if it was some infallible cryptocurrency. Nothing can ever be as good as it seems, but in Spring 2020, it seemed pretty good.
