I write this column a week ahead, and usually, that’s not a problem. Not much changes in a week, normally. Yes, pieces on the political chessboard move around, and every now and then there’s an election, but by and large, things stay the same. I’ve been writing professionally for a decade, and for the most part, you can write a column in May and have it come out in November with the exact same results.
