I might do a research project myself

My daughter is home from Edinburgh University, where she is doing an MA in psychology. 

Right now, she is upstairs in her pyjamas, setting herself to the dual task of writing a research proposal and giving up smoking. This research proposal is worth 20 credits.

“What’s your research proposal actually about?” I say. “Well,” she says, “research generally looks at socialisation agents of gender.”
