Heartwarming story

WITH good news scarcer than hen’s teeth in these dark and depressing times, it is heartwarming to hear of really great news for a change, the sort of news that every mother would find uplifting. It concerns a miracle baby who was stillborn in August 2012 to a Dublin couple, Marie Breen and her husband Lorcan.
Heartwarming story

Only a woman can fully comprehend the forlorn sense of disappointment and deep shock that an expectant mother feels when a child is stillborn. In this extraordinary case, however, the couple’s lives were about to be changed forever in the most positive way imaginable by that very event.

When their second child was not only stillborn but then went into full organ failure having already been resuscitated, they were told the baby was in a critical condition and was probably going to die. However, not only did Thea survive, she blossomed. Today she is a bouncing three-year–old, thanks largely to the counselling Marie received from Enable Ireland. It’s a story worth reading.
