Thank you to medics who helped mother

In light of all the recent negativity relating to the ambulance service and the accident-and-emergency department at Cork University Hospital, I feel I have to express my gratitude, and praise, following recent personal experience with my 80-year-old mother.

First of all, paramedics arrived within 15 minutes of being called to the Mallow nursing home in which my mother resides. Their professionalism and kindness, from the moment they took over the care of my mother until the moment they handed her over to the team in A&E in CUH, was outstanding.

The care she recieved in A&E was excellent, from the consultant, from the medical team, from the wonderful nursing staff, who were so kind and professional, and from all the A&E team.
