Interests of electorate merit little consideration
We elect politicians to represent “the public interests”. Yet it seems many look after their personal interests, then the interests of their political party, then the interests of “elitist” elements of society i.e. capitalists, financiers, commercial institutions.
Unfortunately, the interests of the electorate seem to merit little consideration, once the election results are published. The electorate may consider taking this into consideration for the next general election.
