Celtic Tiger government entirely culpable

It is pathetic for a man of Fr Joe McDonald’s position in society to call for the resignation of two of the leading politicians whose decisions in government rescued us from the calamity of the bankruptcy and bailout of 2010 [Letters, March 15].

Contrast those decisions with the decisions of those in charge of government and financial institutions in the decade before 2010.

The reckless decisions of government and financial institutions of that period bankrupt the country.
