There is no desire to change politics in Ireland

As someone who put his name before the electorate at the recent general election, it is galling to see the inaction of those who were successful in forming a government.

There is no desire to change politics in Ireland

As I pointed out in my election literature, party politics is all about one thing... the party.

With all the pressing issues such as homelessness, housing, chaos in our A&E departments et al, TDs need to get on with it and do what the people asked them to do.

It is claimed in the media that Fianna Fáil will not do business with Sinn Féin, yet they insisted upon SF sitting down with mortal foes within unionism at Stormont.

SF will not do business with FF or FG yet call the failure of those two parties to coalesce as ‘a charade’.

Clearly, the concept of ‘a new way of doing politics’ is a long way off.
