Kenny does not inspire us

Shortly after the last general election, our Taoiseach, Enda Kenny, made the statement: ”Paddy likes to know the truth”.

Five years on, in just over three weeks’ time, the electorate will deliver their verdict on this and many other decisions, and promises, made by Mr Kenny, over the last five years.

Mr Kenny’s latest utterance regarding “the majority of people do not understand financial jargon” is another example of his capacity to put his foot in it.
