Be wary of following Minister Varadkar’s lead

Minister for Health, Deputy Leo Varadkar announced last week that he favoured abortion in the case of long-term risk to a woman’s health. 

This is no easy thing to forecast with certainty. And that uncertain forecast could lead to the certain death of the baby.

If this course were adopted, it would be virtually impossible not to extend it to include mental health. Over 90% of abortions in England & Wales are given on similar grounds.
