We will live in a political vacuum until new government is elected

Last Saturday I went to my local retail park. Thinking it being January, the Christmas crowds would be gone, this male would be able to shop in peace.

We will live in a political vacuum until new government is elected

But no, on arrival I discovered there wasn’t a parking spot to be had. After driving around several times hoping to catch someone leaving, I remembered about the little used auxiliary overflow car park. But it too was packed, aside from one empty spot encroached by some overgrown bush.

After ramming the car in, I proceeded to browse the local wares. Surprisingly, despite the full car park, there wasn’t a shopper to be seen.

Curiosity got the better of me and I asked the story manager what was the story with the full car park? “Oh, it’s the government”, she said. “The government?”, I responded. “Yes, it’s all their tough decisions,” she replied, “They have run out of places to park them until after the election, and now they are filling up all the car parks with them.”

“I hope they have the election soon,” she continued waving her hand at her empty store, “all this indecision is bad for business.”
