Thank you to all who helped the Roynanes

Anyone who has passed through Cork city since Jan 1 until last Saturday could not have missed the scores of volunteers patrolling the river morning, noon and most recently night.
Thank you to all who helped the Roynanes

These fine collection of men and women are the embodiment of a true community spirt.

They were made up of relatives, acquaintances, neighbours and friends of the late Colin Roynane.

They were mainly drawn from the tight community of Mourneabbey, Mallow and the environs. The manner in which they supported Colin’s family restores my faith in humanity.

To each one who searched, made the tea/sandwiches, provided accommodation, manned the boats, rostered the search parties, followed each and every lead, printed posters, provided any service and prayed, thank you.
