I have calculated the CEO of the Cancer Society will now have his take home weekly salary reduced by €92 or less to €1,487 following his announcement of a voluntary €10,000 reduction in annual salary.

I am using PWC Ireland’s online budget 2016 calculator and expect Mr. McCormack has accessed this prior to making his generous offer on Friday. Obviously the actual reduction will be much less if the CEO benefits from appropriate pension/ tax allowances.
