Being self conscious is a waste of your life

The wisdom of Marian Richardson’s advice (Irish Examiner, Weekend, January 9) — “The piece of advice I would like to pass onto the next generation is that nobody is looking at you.

Stop being so self conscious” is well borne out by the old saying — “You wouldn’t spend so much time worrying about what other people think of you if you realised how seldom they do.”
