Last Wednesday morning, we were told that errant TD Mick Wallace had been arrested for failing to pay his fine of €2,000 imposed because of a plane spotting session at Shannon with fellow TD, Clare Daly.

The Irish Justice system was kicking in and he would pay for his misdemeanour.

After a trip to his house to pick up some clothes and books, it was full steam ahead to Limerick Prison where Mr Wallace was to be incarcerated for 30 days.
