Mother and unborn child both deserve duty of care

Despite the much flaunted Amnesty-inspired letter from pro-abortion doctors, it appears that only 14 Irish doctors signed the letter.

So in reality, this amounts to large scale foreign interference in the internal affairs of this country. A form of neo-colonialism, in effect. It does seem extraordinary that any Irish doctor would sign a letter effectively seeking permission to kill one of his/her patients. I was always told that when a pregnant woman attended a doctor, the latter had a duty of care to two patients.

Has this principle changed?.
