American goldfinch doesn’t travel this far

While Kelly O Brien’s article (Irish Examiner, November 23) re feeding birds over winter was excellent, the goldfinch on the chart is the American goldfinch,[ Spinus tristus], not the European goldfinch [ carduelis carduelis].
