Cork’s Mercy hospital doesn’t deserve criticism

I have been a patient of the hospital for the past 28 years. I recently spent two weeks as an inpatient. Well let me tell those people, that the hospital is pure spotless. Each morning I saw cleaning staff everywhere: in toilets, on corridors, wards, the bridge, cleaning each nook and cranny. It has always been that way.

I have the greatest praise for all the staff there from consultants to cleaning staff. A nurse’s job is a vocation, they spend 12 hours each day under the most difficult circumstances and never complain. God bless them all. It is definitely five-star standard.
