United against violence

The Irish Primary Principals’ Network wishes to express solidarity with our French colleagues and to school leaders worldwide, whose daily lives are challenged by violence.

Education is a most powerful tool to liberate the minds of children worldwide whose lives are marred by violence and hatred.

It’s difficult to choose suitable words to express our feelings amid the recent catastrophic loss of human life. Instead, I will borrow the words of Rene Decartes who said: ‘Whenever anyone has offended me, I try to raise my soul so high that the offense cannot reach it’.
