I hate to break it to Frank O’Meara (“Same sex marriage is not true marriage”, Irish Examiner, letters, November 16) but the Marriage Equality referendum actually took place six months ago and Frank’s side lost. Resoundingly.

Love won the day on May 22 and no amount of bigotry, intolerance or religious fundamentalism can ever change that.
