These books might change your opinion

David Newmark (Irish Examiner, Letters, November 13) claims that ‘Boycotting Israel and comparing Israelis to Nazis is much easier than reading political science texts and history books’.

I agree wholeheartedly with this and recommend he reads these books, by the following Israeli writers: Ilan Pappe’s The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine, Baruch Kimmerling’s Politicide, Avi Shlaim’s The Iron Wall, and Tanya Reinhart’s How To End the War of 1948.

These authoritative works disprove the letter-writer’s point of view. If he chooses not to read them, then he will be guilty of his own accusation of ‘intellectual laziness’.
