Any society without morals is cast adrift

In his column entitled ‘Prochoice must be proactive ahead of campaign’, Shaun Connolly like the majority of the Irish media, is pushing for a secularised value-free Irish society.

Emboldened by the result of the same-sex marriage referendum, Mr Connolly wants the Government to introduce abortion on demand.

Any society shorn of its moral anchor is a society corrupted. Mr Connolly terms abortion as “a termination”, a neutral word which masks what abortion truly is; the killing of innocent defenceless life. No amount of spinning can obscure that fact.

Once the premise is granted that some lives are expendable, there is a lethal logic that will lead to infanticide, euthanasia, genetic manipulation and coercive reproduction policies.

It is confirmed by scientific fact that from conception to the last moment of life, it is the same human being that develops and dies.
